Mother's plea: 'Don't give up hope'
"I prayed for a miracle and then, in the back of my head, I knew somewhere that God would not let me down," said the patient's mother yesterday, sobbing as she described how she had asked doctors to no longer resuscitate her son if he deteriorated.
The patient's family has requested that he not be identified but his mother did, under the condition of anonymity, tell his story.
